WHAT IS IT?
Two ‘half’ Day Virtual Workshop on Thursday 30th May 10:00 – 14:00 and Friday 31st May 10:00 – 14:00
to complete our accredited Carbon Literacy training course.
WHAT WE COVER:
- This course is aimed specifically at those in the professional services industries, and will take you from the basics of climate science, and what is happening with the climate emergency; through to how this will impact everyone, enabling you to pledge relevant carbon reducing actions in your life, work & industry.
- On successful completion of your Carbon Literacy training, after submitting your actions, you can become certified as ‘Carbon Literate’, joining more than 40,000 others, and including business leaders across multiple sectors.
- After completing the course, you’ll be required to complete a Participant Evidence form which will then be sent to the Carbon Literacy Project for approval. Once the form has been approved you will receive your certificate.
WHO IS IT FOR?
It is a perfect introductory session to climate science that we always recommend people to take so they can feel empowered to start to take action.It is designed for those who want to make a positive change and take action on climate change through their job role.
By taking part in this course, you will join employees from staff across other businesses including the NHS, Patagonia, BBC and ITV in training their staff to become ‘Carbon Literate’, helping to embed a widespread low-carbon culture.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If you want to be certified, you need to pay a certification fee. This fee costs £10 and is paid to the Carbon Literacy Project, who then review and authorise any certifications.
This is done through the completion of an evidence form which you will need to fill out on completion of the course which is reviewed and marked. This process takes on average 21 – 28 working days and completion of the course does not guarantee a pass.

WHAT IS IT?
Join our monthly community sessions for peer support and collaborative problem-solving on real business challenges. In each 60-minute session, the pre-chosen ‘Hotseat’ participant shares their business dilemmas or seeks feedback in a 10-15 minute presentation. The supportive environment fosters meaningful discussions and will bring you insights relevant to your own work.

WHAT WE COVER:
Participant in a coaching session between Jannine Barron and our Hotseat Participant.
They have to prepare for the first 10 minutes at the beginning of the session to either share a presentation on the business and frame a question around that, or to talk about a given topic for 10 minutes.
As an attendee, you have the opportunity to listen and contribute to the collective wisdom, offering valuable peer-to-peer feedback.
WHO IS IT FOR?
These sessions also provide clarity, support, and valuable learnings, particularly beneficial during periods of overwhelm or transition in your working life. You will meet other BBN members whilst learning and sharing knowledge and creating a stronger community.
Most importantly, it is a safe space to share your own business challenges, learn from the solutions and adapt them into your business all whilst feeling good that you have made a difference by helping a fellow BBN Member with their challenges.
