From 3 – 7 July will be the first Yorkshire Sustainability Week, taking place across our region with a brand-new flagship conference launching at Cloth Hall Court, Leeds.
Yorkshire Sustainability Week is designed to celebrate sustainability and the opportunities protecting our planet can create for businesses in Yorkshire and the UK. We believe that small actions can lead to great change – and we all must start somewhere.
Whether you’re a seasoned eco-warrior or just starting to explore the world of sustainability, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during Yorkshire Sustainability Week. From a two-day conference to roundtables and networking drink sessions, there is a great range of events that are sure to inspire and educate and drive positive change in sustainability.

Keynote speakers announced for Yorkshire Sustainability Conference
Some of the biggest names in sustainability are guest speaking at Yorkshire Sustainability Conference on 4 – 5 July. Here’s just a flavour of who will be there:
Areeba Hamid, Co-Executive Director, Greenpeace UK
Areeba will be keynoting the nature track at the conference, discussing how to challenge the status quo and how Greenpeace is hopeful for a bright future for the world
John Elkington, Founder and Chief Pollinator, Volans Ventures
The curator of the triple bottom line: people, planet and prosperity; John will keynote on the economy and finance track at the conference on day 2. You will hear John discuss what a green economy of the future could be, if only we dared!
Jo Fairley, Co-Founder, Green & Black’s Chocolate
Jo joins the Food track at the Conference on day 1, she will discuss her fascinating stories disrupting the food industry for the better by becoming the first UK fairtrade chocolate in 1994.
