WHY WE’VE PARTNERED WITH SUPPORT THE GOALS
The Better Business Network and its sister company betternotstop have long been actively campaigning in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
This is why we have partnered with Support The Goals; to encourage other businesses to also get involved. We too believe in the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and their importance in combating the climate crisis as well as social and economic injustices.
WHAT IS SUPPORT THE GOALS?
Support The Goals is an initiative to rate and recognise the businesses that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals. The organisation runs as both an accreditation service for businesses who wish to demonstrate their commitment to the SDGs as well as education service.
Support The Goals works to raise awareness of the SDGs in the business community. They also promote a structured approach to planning, target setting, and reporting in respect of the goals for businesses.
The key aims of Support The Goals are to:
- Raise awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the business community.
- Promote a structured approach to planning, target setting, and reporting in respect of the goals.
- Give young people work experience in corporate sustainability, so they understand how business can contribute to a better world.
Support The Goals are working to achieve these aims by building positive publicity, encouraging gentle competition and promoting the scaling of activities across supply chains.
Their work is an important step towards achieving the goals set out by the UN SDGs and as a business actively working towards the same goals, we support the work they are doing to further awareness of the need for other businesses to similarly work towards these goals.
