5 Tips to get the most out of the new BBN Community Platform!

The BBN has recently moved its community platform to a new website, built on something called Circle and there are lots of new resources which you can use to help your business develop on its purpose-driven journey. 

Make sure you know the best ways to get the most out of the new space by checking out our 5 top tips below!

#1 Set up your profile…

Double check you are happy with how you have set up your profile! You should make sure your profile is visible, enter both a headline and a bio and if you fill out as many profile fields as you can, this will make it even easier for people in the community to find you (as it’s all filterable)! We recommend picking a happy smiling picture too! 🙂

Remember, the Membership isn’t just for one person, it’s for the organisation! You can have any of your colleagues join and use the platform so they can utilise all the community benefits too!

#2 How do I connect with fellow members?

We always recommend saying ‘Hello’ in our Introductions space as a starting point! We’ve replicated the most important channels from the Slack Community here so you can use this community in a similar way.

Obviously check out our Member Directory first and foremost where you can see other members of the BBN, search by industry, accreditation and keyword and get in contact! 

The network is designed to be a place where you can informally share with peers and learn from one another, and we’re proud to say that 84% of members said they had worked with, collaborated with or done business with other members of the Network since joining in our most recent members survey. 

Seeking Referrals? Need some advice? Want a hand with something technical?Ask for help on our I’m Looking For space. This is the best place to get your problem solved - regardless of what the issue is. Because we are a non-size, non-sector specific network we’ve got such a wide range of experience in the BBN there is so much shared knowledge and people are happy to help! 

We also have spaces for any Member News, this is where you can share updates on anything to do with your business. Tell other members about your events, new releases or anything exciting you and your team are doing!!

#3 Utilise the Tools & Resources Section

We have a fully stocked Tools & Resources section which is constantly being updated with new content, and if you have resources or knowledge you’d like to share with the community, please let Milo know on milo@thebetterbusiness.network 

We’re seeking to make our tools and resources even more valuable. Check out the Industry Reports to learn all about what's happening in Business in the sustainability world.

We have a range of Guides to help you navigate through different challenges and develop your purpose-driven mission. 

There is a selection of workshops which have been delivered by a range of BBN Members, touching on topics ranging from social media to law and everything in between. 

Missed the Better Business Summit 2023/2024 or can’t remember that inspirational nugget that you wrote down somewhere? You can rewatch all of our BBS content in the Tools & Resources section at your own pace!

#4 Discounts & Offers

Use our discounts and offer space to find the best deals for your business. At the Better Business Network we believe in the power of collective action. Our members have created exclusive offers and discounts which are only available to those in the Network.

#5 Still not sure what to do

If you’re not sure where to start, the best place to begin is to book yourself onto one of our upcoming events. We’re running a Circle Discovery Event on the 6th Jan at 15:00 so YOU can learn all about how to make the most of the new platform.
