CARBON LITERACY TRAINING

Thanks so much for taking part in Carbon Literacy training and helping us expand our impact as a network. We’ve shared below some useful information, assets and tools for you to make your experience as accessible as possible. If there is anything we haven’t covered below, or you need some clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact us

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Training takes place over one full day session (8 hours) or two half day sessions (4 hours each day). We often record these for students but these are not made available to the public.

  • Advanced E- Learning:

    Attendees must:

    ● Watch the documentary ‘the David Attenborough documentary Climate Change The Facts’ Available on BBC Iplayer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00049b1

    ● Complete their individual carbon footprint calculator. https://footprint.wwf.org.uk

  • You will have been sent a meeting invitation with a zoom link attached. If you did not receive this when signing up to the course, please contact us.

  • In order to receive certification you must complete the evidence form and send it back to us within a week of your course.

We will then send this over to the Carbon Literacy Project who will assess your form and see if it meets their criteria. This process usually takes around 28 days. Once the forms have all been reviewed, those who have been passed will be sent their certificates, badge and BBN carbon literacy assets.

  • If the Carbon Literacy Project deem your evidence form insufficient, or believe that you have not understood the content taught during the course, they will return your evidence form with an explainer of the issue.

You will then have a week to make amendments to the evidence form and send it back to us to be resubmitted back to the Carbon Literacy Project.

  • If your question hasn’t been answered, please reach out to our Head of Community at james@thebetterbusiness.network who will be happy to help.
