Step into Nature on 19th January 2024 with Freshwalks and the Better Business Network! Let’s switch off for the day and reconnect with nature while making new friends – We’ll embark on a relaxed-paced hike, allowing you to fully appreciate the fabulous landscapes and foster a spirit of collaboration for the future.
Join us for a special event in partnership with Freshwalks, as we venture into the wild terrain and rugged moors of the South Pennines which boast beautiful hills and moorlands, weaving through valleys steeped in industrial history.
ROUTE INFO:
Hebden Bridge – Stoodley Pike – Mankinholes – Pennine Way – Rochdale Canal – Hebden Bridge
Distance: 14.5km
Max Elevation: 402m
Total Ascent: 407m
Terrain: Lowland trails, canalside paths
DAY PLAN:
We’ll take a direct route up to Stoodley Pike, where we’ll pause for a picnic. We’ll then descend towards Mankinholes, exploring woodlands and moorlands via the Calderdale Way. The day continues as we loop back towards Hebden, traversing the renowned Pennine Way and Rochdale Canal. A fab route ending with food and drinks Hebden Bridge, easily accessible from both Manchester and Leeds.
Remember to come prepared with sturdy walking boots or shoes, layered clothing, and waterproofs, just in case our unpredictable British weather surprises us! Don’t forget to pack drinking water and a tasty packed lunch.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
Catch the 09:57 train from Manchester Victoria or the 09:42 train from Leeds to arrive in Hebden Bridge.
Car park also available at the station.
Meeting Point: Gather outside the front of the train station. Look out for the friendly faces of the Freshwalks team.

WHAT TIME WILL WE SET OFF?
We’re set to begin no later than 10:45.
CAN I BRING MY FOUR-LEGGED FRIEND?
Dogs are more than welcome but should be kept on leads throughout the walk.
DO I NEED TO BRING A TICKET?
Nope, simply arrive on the day, and the Freshwalks team will check you off the attendee list!
WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE IT?
You can transfer your ticket to a colleague by contacting the Freshwalks team with their details as soon as possible.
