Better Business Summit Nature Day with Manchester Urban Diggers (MUD)!

How best to end the The Better Business Summit 2024 than by getting out in nature and being involved with the local community?

We headed out to a local community garden and urban farm in Platt-Fields Park, Manchester which is run by Manchester Urban Diggers (MUD)  a non-profit social enterprise dedicated to changing our broken food system to help out with their projects.

We spent the morning harvesting willow and working on their compost heap all in preparation for the coming warmer days, before we were treated to a delicious healthy, home-grown, open-fired lunch!

It was a great way to make new friends, learn about where our food comes from and give back to the local community.

Massive thanks to Jo Payne from MUD for showing us around and teaching us some new skills! If you want to get involved, MUD has volunteer opportunities every Friday and Saturday.
