How To Support Women’s History Month

Celebrating Women’s History Month is a great way to remind us of all the accomplishments of women throughout history and to acknowledge the impact women have had and continue to make both culturally and socially.

This Women’s History Month, The Better Business Network wants to share various ways in which everyone can get involved and support women within our communities and workplaces.

Women’s History Month Ideas

  • Support Female Entrepreneurs

Female Entrepreneurs are sadly less likely to start new businesses and are less likely to get support compared to their male counterparts. In our recent blog on supporting black businesses, we emphasised shopping black, this time we want to put emphasis on trying to support as many women-owned businesses as you can.

  • Engage With Female Thought Leaders

Encourage others and yourself to support more female creators such as authors, painters and other creatives. Books, for example, are important influencers on how we think and native society. Over 80% of the most popular novels were written by men so naturally, the exclusion of women influences male dominance. Supporting more female authors and creators will help to change the view on our females in society.

  • Get Involved With Organisations Supporting Women And Girls

Take supporting women and girls around the world into your own hands by exercising your buying power. Donate and get involved with various groups to help make an impact. AS fantastic UK-based charity you could donate to is Women’s Aid.

  • Champion Women Online

Use your voices and influence online to show support to women around the world via social media. This will encourage others to do the same.
