Monday 2nd Oct | 2-3pm | SPEED NETWORKING | Online

Our monthly virtual Speed Networking for Purpose Driven Businesses connects like-minded business owners who care about their social and environmental impact to help their businesses grow and create positive systemic change.

HOW DOES THE EVENT WORK?

Virtual speed networking is a fun and quick way for you to meet other purpose led business leaders. Over the course of 60 minutes, our host places you in one to one breakout sessions to meet five new business contacts. These sessions are a great platform for the self employed, small business owners and SMEs to work together to elevate good business, learn from one another and meet helpful connections.

We don’t encourage a hard sell environment, these are friendly, supportive and collaborative sessions that allow you to build your network with other organisations that care about their social and environmental impact.

RSVP is required to receive the Zoom link (This often ends up in your spam folder – check for an email from WordPress) RSVP for free to our October Speed Networking event here or check out our upcoming events here

These training sessions are happening on the same day before our Better Business Summit Launch Parties

Research shows that more than 70% of people who use hearing aids would choose a company with staff who are deaf aware over a company whose staff are not. Therefore, these sessions are crucially important, as the training will help you and your staff be able to understand the barriers faced by deaf people and people with hearing loss or tinnitus feel confident communicating with deaf people.

 WHAT IS DEAF AWARENESS TRAINING?

Deaf Awareness Training will be carried out by the accredited Training Providers at the Royal Association for Deaf People (RAD). The training course is specifically designed to improve your awareness, communication skills and confidence, enabling you to help break down the barriers faced daily by people who are deaf or have a hearing loss.

The session lasts for three hours, and all attendees will be given a certificate of attendance. It costs £70 (+VAT)

WHAT WILL THE TRAINING COVER?

  • Introduction to deafness
  • Deaf Community
  • Language
  • Raising awareness
  • Communication skills
  • Best practice

Creating a world without barriers is something we all want. Becoming deaf aware is bigger than just improving service, it builds your brand and places you at the forefront of inclusivity – which is what the Better Business Network is all about!
